I say cores to simplify the single vs dual CCD concept. if that isnt an option, 5700X for sure. For my build I’m going with a 7900XTX and 1440p at high frame rates/settings, and I’d be doing about 60-70% gaming and 30-40% productivity related tasks. And many others suggested 7 5800x3d as a far superior CPU on the AM4 socket. If they were loaded that way the i9 would outperform a 7800X3D and if they are loaded on fewer cores the i9 won’t consume that much power. But there are few benchmarks of actual power draw/temps of either cards while gaming at 4K.
